Subscribe

There are a few different valuable ways you can subscribe at bondChristian. Let me give you a rundown of each of them. They’re FREE so you can’t afford to pass them up.

Serving Suggestions Newsletter

This is the first and most important subscription you can have here at bondChristian. You can sign up simply by filling in your information in the box in the sidebar, clicking ‘Instant Access’, and then following the confirmation instructions.

What can I expect from the newsletter?

Not-too-frequent updates: The plan for now is to only send the newsletter once every month to month and a half with perhaps (we’ll see how it goes) a few brief updates between. So you won’t have to worry about emails piling up from me. I know how that is. I’m subscribed to a number of newsletters and even the ones I want to read can feel like spam when they’re coming at twelve per hour. Serving Suggestions won’t be like that.

(As a side note, your email will never be given out to anyone. I hate spam as much, if not more, than you do. I know that’s a strong word, but that’s why I use word. You’re email will only be used to send you this newsletter and nothing else.)

Best of: Each addition will have a few links to the best and most important articles published here. This will allow you to keep up to date with the happenings without having to read everything I write. I mean, who wants to have to do that?

News: The additions will also usually have a summary of what’s going on behind the scenes at bondChristian. You’ll be the first to know of new features that will be added to the site, any special offers I give in the future, as well as how the site is running in general.

Serving Suggestions: Now for the elite part (if you want to call it that)… I’ll send you special tips that aren’t posted anywhere on bondChristian.com. I can’t tell you too much about these. They wouldn’t be special if I told you here, would they? You’ll have to sign up to read them.

Again, to sign up, all you need to do is enter your email address and first name in the box in the sidebar and click the “Instant Access” botton. You’ll receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. Confirm by clicking on the link, and you’re set. You’ll receive your first addition within a few days.

Go sign up now.

bondChristian RSS Feed

Here’s the second option. If you’re into RSS readers, please consider subscribing to the bondChristian RSS feed by clicking on the massive orange button:

What can I expect from the bondChristian RSS Feed?

The RSS feed updates you with all the articles that are posted on bondChristian. Articles are generally posted twice a week.

What is an RSS feed?

RSS feeds allow you to subscribe to blogs and other websites so updates will be sent directly to your feed reader. It’s a little like subscribing to a magazine, only this is free.

What’s a feed reader?

A feed reader is an application that collects all your RSS feeds so you can read them conveniently in one place. It’s like your centrol mail box for receiving feed updates.

Where do I get a feed reader?

There are many feed readers available, most of which are completely free. If you don’t have a feed reader yet, I’d suggest using the Google feed reader. Google’s reader is easy to set up and use, it’s free, and because it’s web-based, it can be accessed wherever an Internet connection is available.

You can get instructions for grabbing a Google reader here. If you don’t have a Google account, you’ll have to set one up before you can get a reader. Don’t worry though, the instructions walk you through each step.

How do I add feeds to my reader?

Once you have an RSS reader, you can begin collecting subscriptions from sites by clicking on buttons similar to the big one above and this slightly smaller one below:

After you’ve clicked through, all you have to do is select your reader (if you followed my suggestion, then click the “Google” icon). Select “Add to feed”, and you’re done.

Now instead of trying to visit all your favorite sites to see if there are any new updates, you can simply check your RSS reader. You also won’t have to worry about remembering any more web addresses because your reader will be doing that for you. Nice, huh?

Micro-bondChristian on twitter

This is the third and most frequently updated subscription from bondChristian. If you have a twitter account, you can follow bondChristian here.

What is twitter?

Twitter is a microblog platform that allows updates under a 140-character limit. This means all twitter posts (or tweets) are only a sentence of two long. You can read more about twitter here or sign up for a free account here.

How is Micro-bondChristian connected to twitter?

Micro-bondChristian is hosted on twitter, but the updates are also posted here on the home page of bondChristian.com. If you’ve set up a twitter account, you can follow by clicking the ‘follow’ button on the @bondchristian profile once you’ve logged in. (If you’re not interested in getting involved on twitter, you can still read the updates on the bondChristian home page).

What can I expect from Micro-bondChristian?

Frequent updates: Some people update their twitter account every ten minutes of so. I don’t post THAT often. Compared to the articles posted here though, the updates will be fairly often – at least on a daily basis. So whenever you show up, you should find something from within a day – usually more recent than that.

Quotes: You’ll get some quotes from the Bible and some from random people who’ve managed to be useful in 140 characters or less.

Links: I don’t post these too often. We’ll see if it develops more frequency though. I like to post links to interesting articles I found, maybe some tools for Christian living, and so on.

Quick tips: Not everything will be lifted from others. I’ll post some of my own tips and thoughts and perhaps a few questions for good measure. I’ll try to keep it interesting and helpful.

News bits: Every once in a while, I need to post some small news tidbits. They’re not usually substantial enough to justify writing a whole post because I don’t want the archives cluttered with time-sensitive news pieces. But they’re still important so I post them on the microblog.

Check it out on twitter or on the home page if you haven’t already.
